Positive: The house is brand new - in fact it seemed we were the first guests staying in it - which was for the most part fabulous, minus a few minor details that needed sorting out (trash cans, wifi password). The rental office and owners were helpful and responded fairly swiftly. The house is thoughtfully designed, comfortable and very well equipped. The location is nice if you want to have a place a bit away from the main tourist spots. Just be aware that it then means having to drive a couple of minutes to the store etc. Also you will be literally in the middle of fields and pastures, which means romantic cowbell sounds as well as nonstop tractor / harvester noises and smells in the vicinity (dep. on the season and weather of course). We were the only guests at the time (not counting the occasional contractor working on interiors of the surrounding houses), which added extra luxury. All in all we felt we got a good reward for taking a bit of a risk on a newly listed property without reviews.
Negative: - Do not trust Google maps with the last stretch of the journey or you will end up in the fields like us. Just stay on the main road and find the driveway connection from there. (no fault of the owner / rental office, it is a newly developed patch) - We had to message the office to get the WiFi password as there was no info packet in the house, and it took a while. But that will have been taken care of by now I suppose. - The fertiliser smell from the fields can get a tad too intense for some people I guess; we took it as a good trade-off for the otherwise peaceful location.
