Positive: bed was comfortable. televisions abound. house was pretty.
Negative: NO DISHWASHING DETERGENT; NO LAUNDRY DETERGENT NO COFFEE MAKER EXCEPT FOR A KEURIG WITHOUT ANY COFFEE SAMPLE EVEN FOR JUST THE FIRST MORNING TEA KETTLE POURS BOILING WATER ALL OVER YOUR HANDS AND THE COUNTER TOP RENDERING IT UNUSABLE. NO SARAN WRAP, NO TUPPERWARE CONTAINERS TO STORE FOOD 4 TOWELS IN THE HOUSE FOR TWO PEOPLE WHO GO TO THE LAKE EVERY DAY 1 BEACH CHAIR NO RESPONSE FROM BOOKING.COM OR MANAGEMENT COMPANY AFTER FIRST COMPLAINT; WHEN I CALLED BACK THE NEXT DAY, THE OPERATOR TOLD ME THAT NO COMPLAINT HAD BEEN LODGED WITH AN ATTITUDE SUGGESTING THAT I MUST HAVE NOT MADE THE FIRST CALL. WTF? WHEN I TOLD THE OPERATOR THAT I HAD ALSO NOT RECEIVED AN EMAIL BACK WHEN I REQUESTED A LATE CHECK OUT BEFORE MY VACATION EVEN STARTED, SHE ACKNOWLEDED THAT DUE TO A GLITCH IN THEIR SYSTEM, THEY DIDN'T HAVE MY EMAIL TO RESPOND TO MY REQUEST. OF COURSE MY REQUEST WAS ULTIMATELY DENIED. DURING THE 2ND COMPLAINT, THE OPERATOR STATED: "WE DON'T HAVE TO SUPPLY YOU WITH COFFEE; IT'S UP TO YOU TO PURHASE THE KEURIG COFFEE THAT YOU WANT. WHEN I COMPLAINED THAT I HAD BROUGHT A LARGE BAG OF COFFEE TO MAKE COFFEE FOR THE WEEK, EXPECTING A COFFEE MAKER OR AT LEAST IF NOTHING ELSE A RE-USABLE KEURIG CUP, I WAS TOLD, THIS IS HOW WE DO THINGS. (WHY WOULD I WANT TO TRASH THE ENVIRONMENT WITH SO MANY KEURIG CUPS TO THROW AWAY AND WHY IS IT PREFERABLE TO MAKE ONE CUP AT A TIME WHEN IT IS SO MUCH EASIER TO MAKE A POT ALL AT ONCE?) $500.00 A NIGHT SEEMS EXCESSIVE FOR SUCH A LACK OF HOSPITALITY. AFTER 2 DAYS, A 5 CUP COFFEE MAKER WITHOUT A FILTER WAS DELIVERED WITH SOME TOWELS AND ALUMINUM FOIL. STILL NO DISHWASING DETERGENT, NO LAUNDRY DETERGENT, NO COFFEE FILTER. IF I WERE GOING CAMPING, THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A 5 STAR REVIEW, BUT WHO SPENDS THIS KIND OF MONEY TO HAVE TO GO OUT AND BUY THE BASICS? I HAVE BEEN COMING TO TAHOE AND RENTING HOMES FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO POORLY TREATED AND PAID SO MUCH TO HAVE RECEIVED SO LITTLE.
