This cozy paradise is the perfect space for your summer getaway! Ideal for a couples retreat, girl's weekend, or for hosting the entire family, our property puts you just feet from the shore of beautiful Crow Wing Lake. Enjoy watching stunning sunsets from the dock, fire pit or inside the cabin, and if you time it right, you might be able to catch the Northern Lights twinkling off the lake.
Enjoy the constantly changing view of the lake and landscape via the full wall of windows in the main living space, where you may catch loons, fish, eagles, and other native wildlife. And no need to pack your entire kitchen, because we've got you covered on most anything you'll need to prepare meals throughout your stay. Our kitchen is stocked with pots, pans and tableware, along with spices and condiments. If outdoor cooking is your thing, step right out the front door onto our deck, and you will find a wood pellet grill, and a 36" propane griddle to cook breakfast for your guests.
For outdoor enthusiasts, we feature a private beach and dock, kayaks, a paddle boat, and a paddle board, plus a deck for grilling and a large yard with a fire pit. If you're more comfortable in the AC, our property features a cozy, fully furnished and recently remodeled cabin (with a Jacuzzi tub), PLUS a detached, bonus air conditioned structure with three beds, a bathroom, and kitchen space. Think: glamping, but no tents or RV's required (though we have space for that!).
Our getaway is only 15 minutes from the Brainerd Lakes Area, which offers many dining and shopping venues, as well as local attractions. But we've made it easy for you to not need to leave the property to enjoy some drinks- simply check out our unique basement bar, The Crying Onion, which will perfectly host pot lucks and amateur bartenders who want to whip up a drink (or grab a cold one from the fridge). Play your favorite music, get some games going around the bar, and enjoy access to an additional full bathroom without having to visit the main living space!
You're sure to love swimming and exploring the lake on site, and we are also very close to the public landing. Pontoon rental is available for an additional charge.

Summary: This is the best VRBO we have stayed in. Rob and Denise were the absolute sweetest hosts we have encountered. The listing and property was even better than we anticipated. The setup worked great for our group, Grandma and the kids stayed in the garage bedroom and we stayed in the main house. We chose it especially for the accessibility for grandma and the youngest to the water, and it was perfect. A bit of sandy beach for the little guy to play in and walk into shallow water which was stunningly weedless, didn’t use the water shoes we packed. Grandma didn’t have much trouble, the stairs were very wide with handrail, and the hosts also allowed up to use the golf cart for ease and also pleasure rides. There wasn’t anything that Rob and Denise didn’t think of to make our stay wonderful and keep us comfortable. The kayaks, paddle boat, and paddle board offered us and the kids endless hours of entertainment. The fire pit location right near the water is so peaceful and the kids thought “the crying onion” was really cool, we played lots of card games down there. I can only imagine the good times to be had there! We rented the pontoon for one day of our stay, enjoyed several pleasure cruises, a couple hours at the sand bar and did some fishing. The price to use the pontoon was very reasonable! Very close to lots of amazing family entertainment in Brainerd and Nisswa. We will definitely be coming to visit this cabin again. Defiantly book now, but save a weekend for us!!!
