Enjoy the Provençal village life at this 2-bedroom maison de village in Claviers, a traditional hilltop village in the Var, a region offering everything you love about Provence without the crowds. Centrally located between the beaches and glitz of Saint Tropez and Nice, the lavender fields of Valensole, and the turquoise waters of the Gordes du Verdon and Lac Cassien. Claviers is the neighbor of Bargemon (plus beau villages de France) and Callas, which produces excellent Côtes de Provence wines.
Our quirky little house has two bedrooms, a kitchen, salon/living room with TV and wood-burning fireplace, roof terrace with views of the surrounding hills planted with olive trees and vines, and bathroom. The main bedroom, on the 3rd floor has a 160cm double bed (with firm Tediber mattress!). The guest room mezzanine is located off of the living room and offers two single beds. There is heat but no air conditioning - fans are provided in each living area. With the cool evening of the Mediterranean climate, you probably won't miss the aircon!
Please let us know if you prefer to bring your own linen - we can reduce the cleaning fee a bit.
Please note: the house is split across four levels and is hundreds of years old, so there are many stairs, and is not suitable for people with limited mobility or toddlers/small children. Please WATCH YOUR HEAD while going up and down the stairs! The house is still a work in progress and the nightly price reflects this. We hope you will love it as much as we do!
