Summary: El Beaterio is my Go-To hotel whenever i stay in Zona colonial. Centrally located, walk to all the main attractions in the Old town: upscale restaurant literally in the same block! Tons of other dining options, bars, nice park where locals gather in the evening right across the street. Receptionist Pierre is super friendly and nice! Shows you everything, makes sure you know where everything is, what hours breakfast is etc. Hotel itself is such a historical jewel! You feel like you enter the Time Machine: lobby, breakfast area, staircase and room itself! I’m a history buff, so i also love how they have pictures everywhere and a little history written about the old times! The only thing I’d mention is to be careful when walking up to the second floor, it’s a bit slipper on top when it rains. Maybe owners will see this review and put a rubber mat or something else there as i almost slipped and fall, especially in the evening coming back after a few drinks :) Otherwise, don’t think twice and book this hotel because you won’t find better value in the area for your money!
