Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This was a beautiful, comfortable apartment, with amazing views. Luca met us at the port and gave us and our shopping a lift to the house which was great as getting up to the house involves a very steep climb. He was also a really helpful source of local knowledge and suggestions. From the house it is possible to walk back into Lipari Town or on the beach at Canetto where you can swim ... but you have the hill to negotiate which we were fine with, but the roads are also quite busy.

Negative: Probably not ideal for people who just want to walk as walking in both directions ... to Lipari Town and on to Canetto involve walking along roads that are quite busy (people do do it though)
