Summary: Hotel Hecht is an excellent Appenzell hotel for travelers. We stayed three nights. Our room was recently updated and on the quiet back side of the building. Breakfast was included so we started each day with a good self serve continental breakfast. Because we were staying for three nights we were provided a “Appenzell Visitor Card”. It covered our local travel on train and bus, admission to museums and the Hoher Kasten cable car. The hotel manager, kitchen manager and all the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating.
