Positive: Everything was very clean, beautiful and spaceous room and balkony, room service was very good, beautiful reef, you can watch many beautiful fish close to the beach. We even saw rays. The Pool area ist also beautiful and spaceous with a pool bar serving alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Most of the Staff is very kind and friendly. Internet works quiet good in the whole hotel area.
Negative: The food was ok, not as good as you would expect for a 5 star hotel in egypt. There were almost no vegetarian options, the warm dishes were almost always meat or fish. There is a pasta life cooking but the choice here is only pasta and sauce with no extra ingredients. They sometimes use the same pan for bolognese and tomato sauce without cleaning it in between so there's always a bit meat inside the dish. We tried to explain it to the chef but he didn't understand the problem and the concept of vegetarianism. Salat buffet is plenty and the dessert is tasty though and the a la carte Restaurant zait zautoun was also very tasty. We had the breakfast to go one day for a tour, it contained an extreme dry and hard piece of bread and an apple. If you need it on your last day because you have to leave at around 7:30 like us, the breakfast to go is not included and would cost you 20 euros extra. We also had stomach problems multiple times during the stay but of course this could be everything, a rinse of tap water on a glass or just the different bacterial constellation of food in other countrys. We didn't sleep well in the hotel. The matress was hard. The AC was strong but very loud. The rooms were zero isolated so you have to keep the AC running during the whole night (at least in August). If you want to go to bed early it is sometimes loud in the room because you can hear the Entertainment programm of the hotel or of the hotel next to it. Room service sometimes wakes you up at 8 am to clean the room. On our last day the AC stopped running in the evening. It was 33 degrees celsius during that night, so 33 degrees in our room as well. We tried to call the reception multiple times but they didn't answer. So my boyfriend had to walk over the whole area to the reception in the middle of the night. They saied it's a general problem and will work again in about 15 minutes, we should just wait.
