Summary: Murphy’s Resort has a very convenient location with spacious grounds and plenty of outdoor amenities (pool, indoor hot tub, lawn games, and BBQ setups). The staff was friendly and responsive. However, the property is clearly showing its age. Cleanliness was just okay—we found hair, crumbs, and black specks on our bedsheet upon arrival. To their credit, front desk apologized and changed the bedding immediately. A few practical things to keep in mind: ⚬ The front office closes at 10 PM. While there is an after-hours emergency number, make sure you check in before 10 PM. ⚬ The layout is an open-lot motel style with parking right outside the door. People were drinking and talking loudly right outside our room late into the evening, and thin walls meant we could clearly hear the neighbors arguing with their kids. A decent base for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park, but light sleepers might want to look elsewhere.
