Summary: Nero North has everything you'd expect from a hotel on Gili Island. In my opinion you can't expect a 5 star hotel experience on Gili, which is part of the charm, but Nero North is easily the best hotel I've stayed at on Gili over the years. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Big, good looking rooms with plenty of style. Nice pool and a fantastic beach packed with turtles in the morning, right in front of the hotel. So definitely 4 stars. The staff are SUPER sweet and helpful. What pulled it down a bit was that there wasn't really any hot water in the showers when you wanted to shower in the room. Breakfast was pretty poor and limited, and it took them half an hour to serve it. The food at the hotel wasn't great either. On top of that, a regular cup of coffee cost 67,000 IDR, which is pretty steep for an ordinary coffee. But a lot of other good things about this hotel.
