Positive: We loved the location and the home itself. There is nothing like having a good amount of property right on the lake. They had multiple items to use to enjoy the lake (Canoe, paddle boards, sand toys, life vests). We really appreciated the amenities at the home. They had a really nice beach for our kids to play on, we spent most of our time by/ in the water. The home was really clean and had everything you needed. Spare blankets, toys for the kids to play with, ample clean towels, extra paper towels and sponges. (Again, for someone who likes to keep the house clean while we stay, those items are so appreciated!) The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice. I would recommend this house for people looking for a lakeside getaway.
Negative: We ran into a few problems while we were there, the fireplace being broken (someone came out while we were there and were unable to fix it. The main house heating was also out.) They did have space heaters that kept the downstairs a decent temperature, and upstairs stayed a great temperature, so some things are just unavoidable. The home has ring cameras, which I can totally understand. What I did not like is that the back yard camera directly oversees the hot tub. It's feels a little odd having three young children in the hot tub and in their swim suits while a camera is staring at you. I think a new location to watch the backyard would be much better. They also had set up for someone to work on the dock while we were there, we had to ask for them to come back as we were going to be using the dock. Also, another person just randomly showed up to clean the hot tub. Not huge issues, but it would be nice to be aware (maybe a schedule) to know when to expect people to just show up at the property.
