Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Once we found the correct building, all was nicely placed and easy to use. The beds were comfortable. The dock gave us good views of the stars. It was too cloudy when the aurora was out. Not a problem of the house, just the weather. It was quiet and a good place for us to get work completed at the end of the day. Wifi was working...a good thing. Good shower temps as well.

Negative: It would be better if there was some signpost or address numbers in front of the buildings. I had to go up and walk different properties until I found the front bungalow. Drive in was covered with leaves so I didn't know if I was driving on the lawn or the driveway. The password code initially didn't work and that was good, because it was not properly furnished and there were black plastic bags on the floor and the other room had furniture on its side. We found our bungalow and would have been better if the front light was on a motion or sunset sensor so that we didn't have to fumble in the dark to get in. Kitchen set up was good and easy to find items. When I have stayed in the past at other Vacassa properties, there had been basic spices for cooking like salt and pepper. We did find an empty saltshaker and a box of pepper and a lick of vanilla. It's just a nice gesture if one is planning to cook and not wanting to buy a whole container for a pinch of basic spices. The toilet was clogged, and we were able to get it working in short order. The heat system was very effective and was blowing on me until the temp was reached.

Summary: A great place to work and relax in the calm of the trees, tranquility of the water and fall foliage.
