Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: I went scuba diving. The diving centre is very good: good staff, good guides, good boatman... They know the area very well and seem to me very experienced, also in terms of safety. It is not so close to the most famous diving spots, it's about 20-30 minutes of travel by boat, but it has the great advantage to lay in the bay of Puerto Galera, where there are also nice dive sites that can be explored in case of big waves outside the bay (if the coast guard, which is next to the dive centre, allows to sail). Regarding the resort, it has private rooms and rooms with shared beds, since it works also as a hostel. All the rooms face a common terrace with a nice view on the bay and some shared facilities like tables, chairs and a little kitchen with a fridge. I found it very useful to have the dive centre just a few steps below the rooms so it was very easy to set up my stuff before diving and to clean everything after the dive. Puerto Galera is not as touristic as Sabang, but it seems to me with a more local vibes.
