The space
This gorgeous updated cabin sleeps 4 people and is the ideal escape for a couple or a small group. It is set off the main rural road into Chimney Rock and Lake Lure.
You can access the back deck/balcony through the kitchen where you’ll discover a magical river retreat. There is plenty of seating on the rear balcony to enjoy your favorite book or drink a coffee all while enjoying the sights and sounds of the River.
As you walk to the river bank, you'll pass a brand new hot tub overlooking the river. Continue walking down to the ricer and you'll pass a Weber Charcoal grill and picnic table to enjoy your favorite barbecue foods. Continue your journey along a short wooden walkway to the fire-pit area. Here you can enjoy what the river truly has to offer. Splash on the spacious and smooth rock-slab beach. Float on a tube or slip all the way into the river for a swim. Don't forget about the fire-pit. Fire up some hot dogs or s'mores and eat at the riverside picnic table.
(I attempt to supply two river tubes barring they are not popped or lost by previous guests. I also supply wood for the fire-pit and kabob sticks for roasting).
The section of River is really only accessed by my guests and the next door neighbor who is a permanent resident. The neighbors are a respectful couple and will not encroach on you during your stay. It is rare you would even see them splashing about the River. You may see a random kayak passing by but I have yet to see one. The other neighboring lot is vacant with no structure on it. Long and short of it all, you should have an overwhelming amount of privacy when enjoying the River.
Back inside, off the living room you will find the master bedroom. Get a great night sleep on the new King mattress. The master bedroom does have an attached shared bathroom. The bathroom is accessed through the master bedroom or the kitchen foyer. The master bedroom has a 42” SmartTV. The TV should be signed in with a YouTubeTV account specific to the cottage.
The second bedroom has a new full-size bed and 32” SmartTV. Again, the TV should be signed in with a YouTubeTV account specific to the cottage. In this bedroom, you'll be able to fall asleep to the sound of the rushing river.
There is a small washer and dryer on location for small loads of laundry.
BaBa’s Lazy Haven provides Wi-Fi free of charge for your enjoyment! Feel free so use your own streaming accounts as much as you'd like!! All TVs should be signed in with a YouTubeTV account specific to the cottage. There is NOT regular cable service. However, YouTube TV does offer regular live programming that standard cable providers offer.
There is a Keurig and regular coffee maker at the cottage. I make every effort to supply basic K-cups and coffee grounds. Feel free to bring your own favorite coffee.

Cell Service: My Verizon cell service works great for calling or texting at the Cottage. Data usage is not the best; however, the Cabin Wifi works great.
No Smoking: There is no smoking or vaping of any kind permitted in the Cabin!!
Outdoor Fire Pit: I do supply wood for the outdoor fire pit for no charge! Please let me know if the pile starts running low. The fire shall be supervised at all times! If you cause a forest fire, YOU may be charged criminally!
Cleaning Supplies: There is a starter supply of dishwashing soap, garbage bags, and paper towels. You will need to supply your own after the starter supply runs out.
Summer Yard Maintenance: This Cottage does require routine yard maintenance throughout the spring, summer, and fall. I attempt to schedule this on days the Cottage is changing guests but it is not always possible. If yard maintenance ends up needing to occur during your stay, I will give you 24 hour notice. The service would never occur prior to 9 AM. If this is a concern, please let me know.
