Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Fantastic location although it was so sunny and so windy that we couldn’t put the parasol up. Shade on roof does not work from about 11.30 am until 4 pm as terrace south facing. Great views and centrally located. Restaurants and bar underneath. No real issue with noise as restaurants not open late evening and bar only noisy at weekend. Kitchen well equipped so didn’t need anything. Beds comfy. Plenty hangers in wardrobes. Communication with host is good.
Negative: Faux leather settees in lounge on which you get hot and sweaty however there are cotton throws provided to use. We were there during a particularly hot week and there is no air con and no fans. Having windows / doors open meant there was dust everywhere. Fans where definitely needed in the two lower bedrooms. No washing machine - not a problem but no iron or ironing board which, as three ladies we felt was an absolute must. No mirrors in bedroom but a biggish one in lounge which we all used to do hair / make up.
Summary: Fabulous location but not the luxury we expected for the cost.
