Positive: Property was a lovely size and near to a lovely location. Plenty of parking for two cars. However I was disappointed with inside of the house.

Negative: Property could have been so much better with a deep clean and some updates and improvements. The living room was infested with wood lice. We had to buy spray to try and get rid of them. There were dead ones in the corner as well so obviously not cleaned thoroughly. The hoover didn't work so we couldn't clean them up.( a guest had already noted this is the book at the property but it had not been sorted) The door jam in between the bedroom and en suite had no cover so sharp edges exposed to catch our feet on. The crockery and cutlery were in poor condition. I opened the cupboard to find badly chipped plates and stained cups. Cutlery was badly marked and some looked like they were going rusty. The shower in the main bathroom leaked and flooded the bathroom when showering. The toilet in the main bathroom didn't flush properly. The garden and hedges were overgrown and needed weeding. The second bedroom has a very small alcove with clear plastic roof which was noisy when it rained when you are trying to sleep. The bedroom windows need something in addition to the blinds as it is very bright from early hours of the morning making sleep difficult. Overall we got the distinction impression that it was a case of 'it will do just to rent out' and the owners don't want to waste time or money on making the property nice for its guests. Such a shame because as I have already said with a little more care and effort it could be lovely.
