Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: I chose this ryokan because I had an early flight at Kagoshima the next day and I actually had an excellent surprise: very large and comfortable room will all amenities and a private onsen. The staff were very welcoming and nice, and speaking English. Dinner was excellent, with a good choice of drinks. A vey nice experience indeed.

Negative: I should have stayed a bit longer to explore the area which appears to be quite nice (Sogi waterfalls, but also the mountains around with many hiking opportunities)

Summary: Excellent ryokan close to Kagoshima but also to great hiking areas
