Positive: The service we received here was excellent. We had an issue with the TV, two staff members managed to sort it out pretty well, certainly as much as the location allows. There's a generous amount of quality beers/ciders and wines. Inside is a nice place to spend some time. Breakfast was very nice, all served up promptly. Rooms were relatively well insulated from the pub below, but that wasn't a priority, we knew that's always a potential issue. There's a decent amount of parking at the rear, so we had no issues getting parked.
Negative: We eat here one night. Although the food was perfectly edible, I think we were thinking it might have been a bit more special. We happened to have a room at the front of the property, next to the road. It was warm, so the windows were obviously open. This does then open up the room to sound from passing traffic. If you have ear plugs, this isn't too much of an issue, so a good idea to have them at hand.
Summary: A couple of days away.
