Positive: The apartment itself was comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Overall, we genuinely liked the accommodation and could have had a very pleasant stay. Unfortunately, the terrible customer service completely ruined the experience.
Negative: We were refused access to an already fully paid accommodation because we were unable to pay the city tax using the only two payment methods offered: IBAN transfer or PayPal. Both options unfortunately do not work properly for my country. We repeatedly explained that we were fully willing to pay the €10 city tax in any other possible way — by cash, card, or any alternative method — either at check-in or before check-out. Instead of trying to help or offering any flexibility, we received extremely rude and unprofessional responses, including messages such as “Pay the fee as you wish… otherwise I can't send you the access codes” and “you should figure these things out on your own !!!!!!”. As a result, we were left waiting outside in heavy rain while trying to resolve a problem regarding only €10, which we eventually paid anyway. In all our travels, we have never experienced anything similar. Every other hotel or apartment has always allowed city tax payment by cash or card during check-in or check-out without any issues. Refusing guests access to already paid accommodation in such a rude manner over a small tourist tax issue is completely unacceptable and overshadowed all the positive aspects of the stay.
